22 October 2009

Between 20 and 22 October, Novoferm Industry Belgium took part in the 7th edition of the Transport & Logistics fair at the Expo exhibition centre in Antwerp.

Transport & Logistics, with its 300 exhibitors, gives an overview of all the market segments involved in the sector. This means that if you visit the fair, you are immediately up to date with all logistical trends and solutions. The purpose of Transport & Logistics is to provide the industry with an overview of the logistical developments and progress achieved for the various modes of transport. The visitor is given a profiled offer in terms of logistical know-how, dispatching, market-oriented distribution, transport & warehousing, goods handling and supply chain management.

At its stand, Novoferm presented its latest dock leveller with hinge lip from its docking range. And the steel simplex-type bumper received a lot of interest. This heavy-duty bumper protects the loading bay when the lorry docks. To load and unload safely, Novoferm also has a semi-automatic sprag which ensures safe loading and unloading without the lorry wobbling.

As for its high-speed sliding doors, Novoferm presented its two showpieces. Novoferm’s most recent development is the Novo Speed Flex. It opens at a speed of 2 metres per second, has a soft bottom beam, a photocell light curtain for lateral protection and a nice design, so for clients it is the best high-speed sliding door on the market today. The Novo Speed Twin is the fastest door in the range. With an opening speed of 3 metres per second, this laterally opening door means the opening is immediately free height-wise. This feature makes collisions practically impossible. This is Novoferm’s heavy-duty door, designed for very intensive use in the most extreme circumstances.

All in all, this edition of the Transport & Logistics fair, as well as our participation in it, hit the mark once again.
