Novoferm also joined in with this edition of the renowned international BAU fair in Munich. We exhibited with a magnificent stand, 70 metres long, 30 metres wide, which even had a mezzanine. On the ground floor, all of Novoferm's new products and ideas for house-building and industry were displayed. Our customers noted that Novoferm had an incredible number of innovative features this year, and this met with both their favour and their appreciation. On the mezzanine, the (around 60!) Novoferm stand crew were able to take customers off to one side for a quiet in-depth chat. It was even possible to get a bite to eat, as there was a small restaurant on our upper floor.

Novoferm Industry has never presented as many new products at one single fair. For example, the "Docking" business unit was shown with the new dock shelter and the extending dock leveller, the lip of which when fully extended is at the same level as the deck. This dock leveller was controlled with the new I-vision control box, developed by Novoferm / TST. This combination drew the attention of many (potential) customers.
The "Novo Speed Solutions" business unit launched its new Novo Speed Flex, the defining door of the future for Novoferm. With its speed, self-repairability and design it captivated many a customer - and many a competitor too. The laser scanner was presented as a world première, in an excellent cooperation with BEA. This sensor measures the opening 16,000 times a second with time of light. All this was displayed on a monitor. In other words, customers could see themselves "walking" in the door opening.

Novoferm also exhibited its first development in the field of application doors, the Novo Speed Flex retail concept. The concept door contains everything a retail organisation (Aldi - Lidl - Rewe, etc.) could wish for in such an application. This door was also extremely well received.
With the Novo Speed Alu and the Eco Speed, Novoferm demonstrates that the product portfolio of solutions for draught problems is exceptionally complete. The Eco Speed is an insulated roller door with an opening speed of 0.65 m/s. This door is automatically locked with an electric lock, also a new feature. The Novo Speed Alu is the strong outer door which, with an opening speed of 2 m/s and automatic closing with light curtain as a safety side mechanism, is the crème de la crème as regards cost efficiency.

Bau 2009 was a highly successful fair for Novoferm. Despite the banking crisis there was a very positive mood, and that gives hope for the future.
